Greentown Changsha Phoenix Mansion

Changsha is an ancient city with over two millennia of history and a picturesque natural landscape. The project seeks to bring a contemporary vision of urban living into this historic setting.

Rooted in the core design concept of “Boundless Living,” the project aspires to deliver a threefold experience of openness. The first dimension is spatial—by breaking down the boundaries of the residential enclave, the design seamlessly connects the community with the city, its surrounding mountains and rivers, creating a vibrant public realm where nature and culture converge. The second dimension is social—by reimagining the traditional notion of neighborhood, the project introduces elevated public zones and "sky living rooms" to create a multidimensional, immersive social experience that fosters a sense of shared belonging and positive community interaction. The third dimension is architectural—by dissolving the physical envelope of the building, the boundaries between inside and outside are blurred. Indoor living spaces open up toward panoramic views of the Xiangjiang River and the surrounding cityscape and hills, allowing natural elements to flow freely into everyday life. It not only embraces the diversity of residential typologies, but also pioneers a new paradigm that responds to urban resources, addresses the needs of contemporary urban renewal, and redefines high-quality living in today’s cities.
