Real-Life Presentation of THE OASIS: line+ Reveals the Built Show Area of Chengdu Financial City Beichen S1

Co-created by Fanhao Meng, Co-Founder and Chief Architect of line+, together with the Beike Good Home team under KE Holdings, the show area and standard-floor façade of THE OASIS (Beichen S1) are now unveiled on site. Through a sequence of spaces that can be seen, touched, and experienced, the project offers a tangible preview of future urban living—responding to the evolving imagination of residential life in high-density cities today.

“In Chengdu’s high-rise Financial City CBD, we sought to step away from the generic, public-building aesthetic of glass curtain walls and return to the essence of dwelling—reconstructing an ‘ecological living body’ within the metropolis.”

🐚 Entrance Strategy: A Quiet Prelude Embedded in the City

The entrance adopts a “retreat-to-advance” gesture, pulling back 20.5 meters from the red line to let the interface dissolve into greenery and water. This spatial yielding softens the urban edge, allowing the site to transition naturally from the opposite city park into the community forecourt—creating a gentle, understated threshold within the bustling CBD.

🐚 Spatial Organization: A Fluid Narrative of Experience

Through deep collaboration among architecture, interiors, and landscape, the project achieves visual continuity and spatial permeability inside and out. As one moves through the site, shifts in light, material, and greenery unfold gradually like a narrative. Whether hosting family, gathering with friends, or spending time alone, each scene intuitively guides behavior and emotion, interweaving spatial storytelling with daily life.

🐚 Pilotis Level: A Poetic Living Room Beneath the Canopy

The 8.45-meter-tall open ground floor forms a transparent “forest living room.” UHPC components provide structural integrity while giving the space a soft, rugged texture. Combined with vertical planting, calibrated lighting, and water features, the pilotis level becomes an open yet intimate communal retreat—supporting shared, solitary, and lingering everyday uses.

🐚 Façade Language: Soft Frames and Comfortable Living Edges

The façade adopts a biomorphic, flowing outline that echoes natural ecological rhythms. C-shaped frames abstract the motif of a shell into soft, petal-like contours. The precisely controlled 450 mm eaves balance shading and openness, protecting privacy while extending views. Warm metallic tones and terracotta textures blend with curved glazing to create a relaxed, refined homecoming experience.

The show area of Beichen S1 is not merely a display—it is a vivid proposal for future living. Here, design recedes into the background, allowing life to emerge through experience, sketching a vision of ecological dwelling and scene-based living.
